This is a little late for spring.....

What to say, what to say....

Well, yesterday I totally forgot about the internet. This is terrifying for one such as I, quite the 'Net addict. Here's why. Yesterday, about an hour before work, I get a call. It's my grandmother, who's in town with some of her girlfriends...Suffice it to say I ended up not having to go work and I had a LOT of sweets yesterday. A wonderful time indeed. :3

She called today, thanking me for the time. I hadn't invited her over because my place was an rather inexcuseable mess. My granny did get a bit of  a peek when I toted the cat outside to show her his beautifulness. Of course, all the pictures we have from that day he was leaning over my shoulder trying to get back inside. Our little Pooh Bear is the biggest WUSS ever. We also discovered he's scared of swishy pants.

Anywhooo, she then was asking about the house. I'm fairly certain she just glossed over the scent of fried food, cigarette smoke, and man-smell. (You KNOW that smell, the one bachelor pads always have? That one!) She was all 'The stuffing is hanging out of the couch sweetheart, you could get a cheapy fitted bedsheet and use it like a slipcover. You could do this and this...'

While listening, I realized something. I really don't value where I live at all. I say 'It's a starter place.' or to my friends, 'It's a shithole with cheap rent, you know how that goes.' But why do either of those things automatically dictate that my place has to be a grody man-cave? Granted, I rent and it isn't the nicest place in the world *coughnoclosetscough*, but it IS where I live, and who knows? Maybe we'll be there a lot longer than I anticipated. The job market is nonexistent around here, and it takes money to go to school. Also, isn't it better to develop habits of taking care of things as opposed to breaking habits of laziness?

Maybe I'd feel less blah when I came in, because as it stands, when I get in there, I just want to do whatever to not notice the darkness and clutter and ew. It'd be nice if I had pride in more things. And could also have family over at a moment's notice.

Let's see how this whole 'cleaning and cleansing' thing goes, eh?

Who I am.

I am a multi-dimensional character who's terrible at spelling upon occasion and loves to eavesdrop.
I am a sister to three little girls under 10 as of this writing.
I am currently unemployed but feeling as though I make much more of a difference by volunteering and letting my boyfriend support me.
I am a lover of food, unapologetically. (i.e. I like to eat it, not make love to it, PERVS. xD)
I am a mother to a tubby orange tabby and prefer it that way.
I am a bookworm at times, and sharp-tongued as a matter of course.
I am a bipolar woman with PMDD.
I am a Witch that is just beginning to explore the Hellenic pantheon.
I am a person who hates all amateur poetry and fanfiction unapologetically. There's too much mediocrity in the world.
I am a listening ear.

A Heads Up

Hello y'all! I'm just letting you know that there are quite a few different kinds of posts in the works. :3 Of course, when life is interesting enough to post about, here it will be. But what else can one expect from the roiling depths of my mindgrapes? Well, I've a few reviews of candy and suchlike in the works, as well as the odd recipe. I'll also be undertaking quite the project. A 'book club' sort of thing, except with all 200 Episodes AND the 3 movies of Bishojo Senshi Sailormoon! Also known as Sailor Moon in North America, I'll be going episode by episode and talking about not only just the episode quality, but delving into the themes and myths behind quite a bit of the series. Find your own way to watch it and join in! (Note: I'll be using the Japanese one with English subtitles, believe me when I say that the English dub is a totally different animal.) Alternatively, I'll provide episode synopses at the start of the post, if you haven't seen it. Hop in at anytime, and I'd love to hear what you think in the comments. Witchbookians, I'll still be cross-posting the majority of my writing, but the Sailor Moon posts will have to stay on Blogger, as I really suck at inserting multimedia in the blog program there. I'll link to Wiccan, Witch, Whatever at the end of every post there plus I have the address on my profile, so it'll not be too terribly hard to find. Sorry guys and gals!

Hmm, now that the exciting part is out of the way...I've felt so meh. No practicing my faith, blogging, cleaning. Perhaps it's just the combination of just getting home from vacation (I tend to throw my stuff EVERYWHERE after a trip), this damned head cold, and the June heat. However, I DID actually make it to the dratted library to write this. I'm not completely lost! Methinks a productivity booster is in order. Popsicles for ALL!

The pink ones are MINE.

Oh, if you're bored: www.11points.com is a humor list blog written by an awesome Jewish guy named Sam. It's pretty tops. :3

Mellow Yello?

Work was interesting today, as this little old lady rolled in with her husband. She couldn't get out of her wheelchair and was on oxygen, so I felt very 'high-end store clerk', picking things out and bringing them to her based on her taste. Demanding she definitely was, but it didn't really faze me, as I've been treated like worse shit for no reason. Of course, she loved every freakin' napkin we didn't have a mate for. EVERY. ONE. But, that's life.

After I had made this fiesty lady happy with her napkins and candles, she left. No sooner was the door closed than the other lady who had been shopping while I was busy being a personal shopper spoke. She was all "That lady was very bossy (ie a raging bitch, probably xD), her tone was really annoying."

I was like "Um, if she were nice and soft-spoken then no one would notice her or help her as often." Sad but true in the world of stores. It's just REALLY easy to not notice patrons who need a little extra help if they stay all quietlike. Of course, if it's slow we do notice, but she came in when it was quite busy. I added "It's also very frustrating to have everyone else have to do everything for you instead of being independent." In my mind that would add an edge to anyone's tone. Then the lady looked at me all funny and was like "I never thought of it that way, thank you."

So yeah, apparently reading HH the Dalai Lama's The Art of Happiness has affected me. WOO COMPASSION!

I'mma go stock now, and posties will be up tomorrow~!

Chicagoland

Well, after a whirlwind trip up north to Chicago, I have a head cold. And a pair of jeans and sunglasses from Forever21, a pendulum from a store I can't seem to find the receipt for, and a wind-up fluffy baby chick from the Museum of Science and Industry.

Benadryl is a beautiful, beautiful thing. No pukey Sarah in the car!

I and my Hun and his mom visited the Blues Festival, the Magnificent Mile (I had a clothesgasm.), and the Museum of Science and Industry. We stayed in the Hilton, which was so posh I hadn't any idea what half the foods on the breakfast buffet were.

We didn't set the world on fire, go to any terribly unique places, or do anything wild. But it was a change from the humdrum.

I missed the humdrum.

The Previous Posts...

Were all ones I did when I first started blogging at witchbook.net. Didn't take me too long to realize I hated the blogging program there as it eats posts FAR too often for my taste. :/

The site is tops otherwise, so here's my shoutout! :D

Something of more substance coming soon, y'all! :3

Future Tense

As I blog, I sit here listening to festive French Music and tasting my fancy French lipgloss. Mmm, fruits.

KITTY: Little bastard found his bag of dry food and tore it open and I found him this morning laying in it eating. He's like a damned goldfish.

WORK: OMG I found this dress and I want to have its babies! Rich purple cloth, floor length, intricate black embroidery hand-done. It's actually NOT velvet, so I could wear it all year...but it's $60. Dx I also stocked a beaucoup of hand batiked cards from Nepal, the colors are so intense and the paper is so SOFT. I've had rougher sheets. Slow today otherwise, but hey, gives me more time to write.

OTHER LIFE: Yay the water heater is FIXED! I got to take a real shower and everything! I also noted that I have my own system of time that I think in. 1 quickie= 3 episodes of Sailor Moon on DVD, 1 episode of Sailor Moon= 2 cigarettes. There may be something very wrong with me. Oh, also I got a copy of my birth certificate in the mail finally, and it does indeed have a typo on it. I see myself stuck on the phone all of Monday to recitify this.

GOALYBITS: So many goals, so little time. Goals for my path, for my eventual store, sleeping, not being a slob, more fun nookie...it never ends. As the endgame may change, I shall use smaller goalposts to hold myself accountable with. Right now I'm all about having a normal, predictiable sleep schedule. I talked it over with Vigdisdotter and made a lovely plan. That has flopped the past two days.

In my magical studies stuff, my current objective is to learn the whole Ancient Greek Alphabet and know how it corresponds to English and the names of the letters. That's actually going well if slowly. There's also the MCS classes I have that I've been neglecting and really need to get a move on with. Plus just normal reading and wanting to pick up a bit about astrology, AND trying to add all the crap from this one book to my grimoire. Busybusy me.

INTERNETS: I'm seriously considering posting these on a blogger.com blog as well, what do y'all think? :3

Oh, in closing, send your good feelings to WildThing, as she just has to perservere until she can get the hell out of town. Come to think of it, Frao too! Everyone have a great day, I'll return on Tuesday!

It's a very Amy Winehouse morning here...[Rated Arr]

To make things easier on everyone, I'm dividing my walls o' text into sections. This way if you're not in the mood to hear a rant or a paean to my kitty, you can skip and save yourself the nap. :P

On with it, shall we?

KITTY: He was a crazy possessed kitty Thursday ALL DAY, and so I have begun to sing him that 80's song Psycho Killer, except edited to PSYCHO KITTY QU'EST-QUE-C'EST? Bun-buda-bon-budda-bondabum! It's far too much fun. :3 Then later I went to make delicious redneck foods (ie: shells and cheese with peas and tuna mixed in), and the kitty mistook the tuna can for his wet foods and went BESERK when I started adding it to my food. Goofy ass cat tried to paw at the hot pan and everything. -_-

WORK: Well, volunteering, but still awesome! It's a fair trade store called Peacecraft that has a little bit of everything. It's abslolutely pouring the rain outside, so I'm fairly certain I'll be customer-less until it lets up. Wednesday kicked my butt though, as I'm like the only person here that's not too lazy to break down a box. Or twenty. Got home at like 7:20 and the joint closed at 6! I got to put out nummy coffees today though~! They're roasted locally, it's all microbrewery-ish. There was a bit of a sad earlier. I had to help a lady pick out a guestbook and basket to hold cards for a funeral. I tried my damndest to be kind. She seemed to really appreciate it, plus I talked her into some delicous 70% Dark and 70% Dark with RASPBERRIES chocolate. Hopefully that helps everyone out a bit. :/

OTHER LIFE: The fucking pilot light to the water heater went out last night. Refuses to light as far as I know until now. So guess who was up all last night due to paranoia? Me! I was trying to rationalize it to myself, but every time I was almost asleep I was like MUST SEE IF KITTY IS BREATHING! By the time my lovely BF got home, I felt like Miss Winehouse looks. About five kinds of a trainwreck. And THEN the heater still refused. I poked my head into the shower and washed my head in water so cold I gasped involuntairly, and subsequently choked on the water! Doublefail! I will say it DID do wonders for my headache. Also, got one honk and a whoop on the five minute walk here. My fellow busty gals, try out the menswear plaid shirt belted just under the bust with slightly rolled up faded jeans and cute, uber-femme flat sandals or just ballet flats. It's verry nice. :3 Hides my belly, I'm ALL for it.

THE INTERNETS: Cielamara pointed me to a nifty little site, postcrossing.com. Be warned, best not undertaken with paranoid people living in the house. :P It's a site where you can send postcards to people all over the world and get a ton back~! Simple, no age limit, and I'm really excited to see how this goes once I waylay some postcard postage stamps! Thanks Ciel!

Well, I *may* try to wrangle a posty over the weekend, but if not, see y'all on Tuesday!

*taptap* Is this thing on?

So yeah, I'mma try this blog thing. My main computer is falling apart, and hence I have not blogged until this point. I love y'all, and I love writing, but not enough to do entire posts with an on-screen keyboard.

However, I do have the great fortune to have access to a computer at my volunteer work. Don't worry, work before blog!

So yeah, is there any sort of thing you all really wanna hear about? Otherwise you may get random reviews. And me holding myself accountable in my learning of my path. And life. And kitty. No poetry! Possibly a rant, though I'm not a fan of writing my own. Reading them is fun, however!

Hmm, I could talk about my life, but what would y'all like to hear? :3
